Regular books and school supplies donations to XingYuLin Rehabilitation Center

Cooperated with Yisheng Technology, Reading Across Borders donated books, iPad, A4 paper, tablets, thermometers, and other materials to XingYuLin Rehabilitation Center, as well as 2,000 yuan to five poor families who are rehabilitating here every month.

We regulary provide 2,000 yuan in cash monthly to a bakery operated by the Rehabilitation Center. This allows the bakery to continue its business to support the Rehabilitation Center financially.

XingYuLin Rehabilitation Center in Tiancheng District, Changsha is a private, non-corporate unit specializing in the rehabilitation services of special children. Since its establishment, it has provided scientific and effective diversified rehabilitation services for more than 1,500 special children. Through training, 90 percent of children of appropriate age have successfully entered the gates of general kindergarten and compulsory education here, solving family concerns, reducing burdens on society, and promoting the development of the public welfare cause of child rehabilitation and relief.

The founder of the center, Chen Rong, is a mother of a young person with autism who has been committed to the rehabilitation of special children in the form of public welfare for 15 years. She was elected a representative of the National Union of Chinese Women, a Representative of the Hunan Union of Disabled Persons, Vice President of the Association of Mentally Disabled People and Friends of Changsha City.

After years of exploration and accumulation, the center has been recognized by society. Awarded the "Hunanese Women's Civilization Field," the Changsha Disabled Children's Rehabilitation and Relief Agency for 0-14 years of age, the Changsha Pilot Unit for Music Therapy Enabling Integration Education, the ChangSHA Model Parent School, the 10 innovative brands of children-friendly projects in Changsha, and the Changsha United Front Work Department Municipal Concentric Program, Changsha Intellectuals Accurate Help Underage Disadvantaged Public Welfare Support Partner, Changsha Charity Public interest organization, Tianxin District Education  Integration Outstanding Unit, etc.
